Activities

Paddys River Falls

Located 23km from our place (nearly half way between Tumbarumba and here). It is a short walk from the carpark to the viewing deck and a slightly longer walk down the pathed walkway to the base of the falls. The Falls are 18m in height. A great local attraction in both summer and winter and extra impressive as the snow melts off after winter.

Cabramurra

Cabramurra is the highest township in Australia at an altitude of 1,488m. The original township of Cabramurra was built to house the Snowy Hydro Scheme workers and their families. There is a picnic area where you can take in some spectactular 360° views. 39km from McPhersons Plains.

Nick & Michelle's Wedding

We were lucky enough to be involved in this beautiful couple's wedding. They got married in winter 2016 and had their wonderful white wedding!! We catered and most guests stayed in the onsite accommodation.

Three Mile Dam

Located in the Kosciuszko National park. 45km from McPhersons Plains. This Dam was built in 1883 to service the gold mining era in Kiandra. Beautiful for wild life, historical walks, fishing and camping.Picture of some local brumbies visiting the popular camp spot.

Christmas In July

Join us each July in the school holidays for some Christmas in July Fun and Festivities. A beautiful Christmas dinner with lots of Christmas Cheer. Santa even leaves some special gifts for the kids. We put in an order for a 'White Christmas'.. we just hope and wait and see if its delivered...

Sugar Pine Walk

Sugar Pine Walk is one of Batlow's best kept secrets. Located 45km from McPhersons Plains, you can take a short stroll through some enormous Sugar Pines - planted in 1928.
